· If required by law, your photo ID and unique identifier, such as a passport or driver’s licence number
· If you are a client or potential client, information about your organisation and your role, information on other employees and management in your company, payment information and information about your legal matters
· Employment and professional information (role, employer, business details)
· Identification information (where required for legal services or compliance)
· Financial and billing information
· Information relevant to legal matters, transactions or advice
· Communications with us (emails, calls, meeting notes, feedback, messages)
· Calendar-related information
· Information about third parties connected to a matter
· Website usage data (IP address, browser type, cookies)
· Interest in areas of legal practice, business, consultancy, services or events
· Information provided by or on behalf of applicants for an employment role with us.
We only collect, use or disclose sensitive information about you if it is reasonably necessary for us to do so in order to perform our functions and if you have consented to us doing so, or if the law allows us to do so without that consent.
How we collect your information

Subject law and our professional obligations to our clients, we may disclose personal information to:

We may also share your personal information with AUSTRAC to meet our legal and regulatory obligations under the AML/CTF Act or the AML/CTF Rules.
We take reasonable steps to ensure third parties handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
We do not routinely disclose personal information overseas. Some service providers may be located overseas (for example, cloud or IT providers). Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through contractual safeguards.
What happens if we cannot collect your information
In most cases you will be required to identify yourself when you deal with us, such as when you (or your associated company or other entity) become a client of ours.
If you do not provide us with the personal information required by us, some or all of the following may happen:
